Fantastic skeins of natural fiber, hand-selected by Master Ensaku Noro from the most ethical suppliers. Noro fibers are never treated with acids or harmful chemicals and are gently spun to preserve original qualities and character. Asymmetric patterns and complex colors masterfully fade from one tonal shade to the next creating gorgeous colorwork.
Madara is a medium / bulky weight yarn made with 60% wool, 30% silk and 10% alpaca for a touch of softness and halo. Silky and tweedy, Takuo Noro says "Madara is something completely new. The yarn represents the beauty of Japan with multi-layered, complex colors as we see in Japanese lacquerware and equally in the gardens and through the four seasons of Japan’s nature."
