Merezhka Top by Elena Fedotova
Merezhka is a crocheted top which takes its name from a Ukrainian traditional embroidery stitch (hem-stitch). This stitch is worked by pulling out strands of thread which are used to create lacy lines in the fabric (merezhki).
A hexagon motif and its variations (partial and pentagon motifs) are used in this design to shape the garment without breaking the spectacular geometric pattern.
The top features a V-neckline, narrow 3/4 sleeves, and a long, intentionally over-sized body.
