felted slippers purple

FELTED SLIPPERS!

 Saturday, January 19th,  10 AM – 12 PM CST

Class Fee:  $24

Difficulty Level:  Enthusiastic Beginner

Work magic with wool and a little water!  In this class we’ll learn a little about knitting oversized slippers, and a LOT about transforming those slippers into fuzzy fitted footwear through the process of felting. Once you understand the process, you can felt anything – from hats to bags to home goods.   Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

TOE-UP SOCKS – TRADITIONAL HEEL
Saturdays, January 5th and 12th, 9:00-11:00 CST
Class Fee: $40
Difficulty Level: Basic sock knitting experience

When it comes to knitting socks, what comes down an also go up! In this class, you’ll learn how to shape the key elements of sock anatomy (toes, gussets, heel turns and flaps) in reverse, creating beautiful fit-as-you-go socks and making the most of every inch of yarn. Basc sock knitting experience is required.  Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

tapestry crochet

TAPESTRY CROCHET
Thursday, February 7th, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM CST

Class Fee: $22
Difficulty Level: Enthusiastic Beginner

Reversible colorwork with no ends to weave in? It IS possible!  With tapestry crochet, creating striking motifs with two or more colors is easier than ever.  Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

entrelac

ENTRELAC
Saturday, January 19th, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM CST
Class Fee: $26
Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Entrelac is a wickedly fun technique that takes advantage of self-shading yarns. Picked-up stitches join each wee stockinette square as you go…no changing colors or seaming required! Simple enough for knitting on the go, but challenging enough to hold your interest! Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

BABY SURPRISE

Difficulty Level: Enthusiastic Beginner

From the one-of-a-kind Elizabeth Zimmerman, comes the only shower gift you’ll ever need: the Baby Surprise!  This darling cardigan is knit in garter stitch (no purling) and all in one piece.  It looks like nothing you’ve ever seen – until you fold it just right and it transforms into a comfy, classic sweater any little one will love!  Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

RIBWARMER
Tuesdays (4 classes) February 5, 12, 26 & March 12    10:00 AM – 12:00 PM,  CST
Class Fee: $65
Difficulty Level: Intermediate

If seaming sides and setting in sleeves isn’t for you, this unconventional garment will help you bypass those common hurdles. In this class you’ll use modular shaping to create basic garments in one piece – all without purling!  You won’t want to stop after just one versatile, fun-to-knit vest.  Back by popular demand….    Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

reverse your knitting swatch

 REVERSE YOUR KNITTING

Saturday, March 2nd,  12 PM – 1:30 PM, CST

                                         Class Fee:  $21                                             

Difficulty Level:  Beginner

The world of knitting is full of opposites – right sides and wrong sides, kntis and purls, increases and decreases. In this class, we’ll learn to identify common stitches and their opposites – and more importantly, how to use them to shape our knitting!  Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

MASTERING MISTAKES

Difficulty Level: Beginner

We’ll let you in on a secret: even great knitters still make mistakes. The key isn’t to stop making them- it’s learning to correct them! In this class we’ll cover the most common pitfalls in knitting and a few quick fixes that you’ll use time and time again. A must for knitters of all skill levels! Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

FABULOUS FINISHING
Saturday, January 5th, 12:00 – 1:30 CST
Class Fee: $26
Difficulty Level: Beginner

Nothing can make or break a project like finishing, yet many knitters view it as a nuisance or a “necessary evil”! Finishing doesn’t have to be your foe, as you’ll see once you’ve mastered these simple seams and other helpful techniques. After all your hard work, doesn’t your knitting deserve the best? An essential class for all knitters! Materials list and homework will be given at registration.

Don’t see the class you’re looking for? Schedule a private lesson and pick your project! Private Lessons are $25 per hour. Project Cards are $45 each and include 5 half-hour lessons. Call us at (931) 707-1255 to make an appointment.

We work hard to provide our students with a quality class experience.  We value the time that you choose to spend with us learning and growing.  In return, we ask that you also value our time.  If, for any reason, you need to cancel a class that you have registered for, and you do so at least 72 hours before the class is held, we will do our best to find another student to take your place.  If we are able to do that, we will issue you a credit for the next time the class is offered.
